Keep SKZfics useful, respectful, and human.

Fics may be submitted by readers recommending something they enjoyed, by authors submitting their own work, or manually by SKZfics moderators through the same submission process.

SKZfics does not automatically crawl, scrape, import, or copy listings from AO3 or other fanfiction platforms.

Submissions are reviewed before appearing publicly on the site.

Recommendation text should be written by the submitter. Please do not copy and paste the author's AO3 summary, notes, excerpts, or other substantial text from the work.

Think of the recommendation as what you would tell a friend: what made the fic memorable, what kind of reader might enjoy it, or what emotional damage it caused you at 2:47 AM.

When submitting a fic, provide the most accurate information you reasonably can, including title, author name, relationship, rating, completion status, word count, and relevant tropes.

Do not intentionally mislabel a work to make it appear in unrelated searches.

Relationship labels on SKZfics use the format Member A x Member B for consistency across the directory.

A listing on SKZfics does not transfer ownership of a work or its content to SKZfics. The original author retains control of their work on the platform where it is hosted.

Authors may request that inaccurate information be corrected or that a listing for their work be removed from SKZfics.

We want discovery to benefit fandom without making creators uncomfortable.

SKZfics moderators may reject, edit, correct, or remove listings that are inaccurate, misleading, duplicated, abusive, spammy, or inconsistent with these guidelines.

A submission being rejected does not mean the fic itself is being judged as bad. Moderation is about whether a listing works appropriately within the directory.

SKZfics does not automatically collect fic information from AO3 through scraping, crawling, or bulk automated importing.

The directory grows through human recommendations and submissions rather than automated extraction.
